We often think of resources as being about money, buildings or other financial wealth. This is narrow way of thinking and there other ways to think that widen our perspective. For example, your network of contacts, your local knowledge, and personal skills, strengths and resilience are also part of this equation. When you are making plans for your support and for the future it helps to think about utilising these other resources. It’s also essential to make sure that the support you get doesn’t detract or weaken your Real Wealth. In fact it should make it stronger. It should strengthen your resilience. The Real Wealth model was developed by Pippa Murray, with support from Simon Duffy and Nic Crosby. Read more at the Centre for Welfare Reform or watch these short videos.
